I think the fact Watunki won't move on strongly and scarily reflects Fay Wang Reeds feelings. It is circular. Have you noticed that Fay-Wang Reed was never interested or really acknowledged Watunki? Does he even know he exists?
I have a feeling the egg Doumeki holds may be the key to breaking 'the spell', after all Yuko told him not to hestiate--even when the time comes. But as we can see, Doumeki IS hesiatating to use the egg.
So Watanuki has a strong power that wes sealed by someone? I wonder who. It does kinda make sense considering he's both Syaoran and also sorta Sakura and Syaoran's "replacement" son. (Card Captor Watanuki anyone? XD Kidding...)
I partly hope Watanuki doesn't meet Yuuko again considering she's officially dead. If she did manage to come back to life, it would defeat everything that happened in TRC with FWR. Or is Watanuki just gona wait forever until she's reincarnated like with Eriol? (I can't see Doumeki staying alive over 100 years) Hopefully he can meet her in a dream despite her being dead (like with Haruka). But, if she could I would have thought she would have talked to Watanuki in a dream by now.
On a sidenote, it's nice to see Haruka-san again :D
At last, somebody went here.
Haruka's revelations stirs up the old Watanuki = FWR argument, or at least we're seeing some stronger ties or parallels. Take note here too at the timing of the TRC epilogue supplement in the vol. 28 deluxe tankoubon release as we got ch.193 and what it did confirm about FWR. Haruka did caution Watanuki about his potential with the "with great power comes great responsibility" metaphor. And since Rou started Watanuki has exhibited a sort of darkness at times.

He knew of To view links/downloads you need at least 5 non-spam posts Click here to Register as well. It was because that FWR didn't know Watanuki's name and birth date that kept FWR from finding and controlling Watanuki.
Is there a possible loop between the two?
It all comes back to the egg, doesn't it?
By giving out your name, you are giving them the ability to take your soul. By giving out your birthday, you have given over the control of your whole life.
THE EGGGGGG...
Well the Egg is like CLAMPs motif, so we know its not just an egg.
I wonder if it smells bad from being in that pocket all the time.
Tiny Yuko? :3Or is Watanuki just gona wait forever until she's reincarnated like with Eriol?
I imagine she would look like this:

At mangahelpers, cnet's translation has been posted.

Man it's gonna be a long December but at least we'll get extra pages.[Bottom text: The next chapter of xxxHOLiC: Rou will go on sale 21st December. An extra-long chapter with colour pages!!]
Just when I was content with the other translation this one shows up.
With this translation by cnet it would suggest that just as Yuko was about to grant Watanuki's wish to not see and attract spirits Watanuki changed his mind and called the whole thing off? Hmmmm. OK I guess but still that feels a bit anticlimactic.
But apparently Yuko did seal away Watanuki's powers, and now that he is the shop's master that seal is now broken. Maybe now we know what Maru and Moro were To view links/downloads you need at least 5 non-spam posts Click here to Register. It makes sense because she's dead now and can no longer hold the seal in place. Very interesting.
We've been told in holic that if we wish for something hard enough then that wish can come true. Imagine three very powerful wizards all wishing for the very same thing, at the same time. What would happen? X. X. X.
We've also been told in holic that wishes can come true in a dream as well.
Based on the events in ch.183 & 184 my original theory on what the egg would be used for would be to remove Watanuki's ability to see and attract spirits (before the translation confusion/errors, see note below). I suppose that it's still possible.
But now that we know what Watanuki's true potential can be I suppose that the egg could be used to seal up his powers. If that's so, then can you imagine the possible drama we could see should the time come to use it? It could possibly void Watanuki's grandest wish from happening. But it might also allow Watanuki and TSyaoran to be able to co-exist in the universe again, thus freeing Watanuki from the Rou.
Note: After talking with cnet over whether or not the shamisen customer was the first customer for Watanuki as suggested in cnet's first translation for To view links/downloads you need at least 5 non-spam posts Click here to Register has been corrected. She WAS NOT THE FIRST CUSTOMER for the new shop master. cnet changed his translation from: "[Bottom text: To be continued next issue. Don't miss this first test of Watanuki's skills as the new shop owner!!] to: [Bottom text: To be continued next issue. Don't miss this chance to see Watanuki's skills as the new shop owner!!]. It cleared things up allot for me!

Lol, thanks. Cnet's translation makes alot of sense. So, I get it now that Yuuko will be back somehow, and Watanuki will meet her once more, though, I really don't get what Haruka means by saying "don't make her cry", I mean, we have never seen Yuuko cried once have we? XD, and yay for the next issue! I can't wait to see the colour pages and more extra-long chapter! ^o^

I think that Haruka meant that Watanuki should not forget what Yoko taught him: don't make personal sacrifices that hurt the people that love and care for him and to wish for happiness. I mean, remember the lonely mother ghost arc and the spider grudge arc?
By giving out your name, you are giving them the ability to take your soul. By giving out your birthday, you have given over the control of your whole life.
Oh, yeah..I wonder what Watanuki will do if he ever gets to see Yuuko again. And still, he looks to me he as been pretty wounded badly ever since Yuuko dissapeared, and I think this the reason he's been thriving so hard to be a different person. I just hate to see my Watanuki and not being himself![]()

I suppose it's realistic, at least his response to her death. Up until now, Watanuki hasn't really made any real connections to people. He sacrificed the majority of his memories; he was taunted by ghosts.Cooking was his biggest hobby...it's sort of like his counterpart, Syaoran - who lacked a lot of company and parents for the longest time.
Watanuki wasn't really able to feel a major loss. Yuuko basically adopted him, became a best friend to him, and become a major parent-like figure.
Now, yes, he's since established some VERY deep and meaningful friendships and has noted his own importance - but this grieving may take some time.
It's quite hypocritical and now that FWR is out of the picture and not openly claiming it; Tsubasa and Watanuki are very much the same ASIDE from the fact that they aren't killing/manipulating. (Yet, who knows?)
Although it's been stated so often that death isn't reversible, this seems contradicted by the flowing of time. The fact that Tsubasa will be able to move freely between dimensions (and possibly different time frames which for whatever reason count as different dimensions) just override this. One could simply travel to a time when the person/people were alive...Yuuko could send people back in time to talk with people whop were dead in the future time...Tsubasa/Sakura's parents were brought back to life, too.
It's been brought about to be exceedinly taboo but it does seem plausible.
Of course, I'd prefer both Tsubasa and Watanuki to simply move on ... XD
Ah, I am really looking forward to reading more and more chapoters of holic. I have to admit that I find holic more interesting than I ever found Tsubasa. Tsubasa was emotional and exciting but Holic is interesting and deeper. The focus is on one person and his connections. I like it how watanuki changed but I was also happy to see that a bit of his old self still remains^^. I am wondering what wishes he grnated to those who were at the store and what prizes he recieved (as they said in the manga, he did not get equal prices and so he had to suffer a lot). I think Holic will stay interesting and we can be excited of what Clamp will present us later.
The more cheese the more wholes. The more wholes the less cheese. So What do we learn from it? The more cheese the less cheese.
YAY for the new chappi!!!
i feel so bad for Wata. I know he should be able to meet Yuko again somehow, like Sakura used to with her mother and with Clow... I really hope he does!!!!
So the whole "him becoming the new shop owner" was inevitable (like always)
OHH! I love Kohane on the cover. She looks kinda sad though..
